Finding a specific message in a chat or thread in Microsoft Teams may soon be much easier with a new update coming to the platform.
The videoconferencing service has revealed a fix that will allow users to follow full chat threads when clicking on the message search results.
The update means that when users search for a chat message in Teams and click the message result, they are taken to the view containing the full thread containing the message they want, not just a single line of text as they did.

In his post on official Microsoft 365 roadmap (opens in a new tab)the company noted that this fix will now give users the “full context” of the conversation around the message result, eliminating any possible confusion or confusion.
The update is still listed under development, but the overall release date is October 2022, so users may not wait too long.
When available, the tool will be available to all Microsoft Teams users on Mac and desktop platforms.
This is the company’s latest update with the goal of making Microsoft Teams more intuitive and useful for customers around the world.
This includes a recent fix that should prevent unwanted Microsoft Teams chats from external users, meaning that when they receive a new one-on-one chat from an external source, Teams users will now be able to accept or block the invitation. Microsoft says this change should also provide the ability to block external users at any time, which revokes access to presence and incoming messages.
The platform also introduces the so-called “Intelligent translation” for Microsoft Teams Mobile users, which means Android and iOS users will be able to quickly translate messages in a foreign language.
Microsoft Teams also recently introduced another form of real-time translation, and recently added access to a large network of professional translators to join meetings on demand. After starting a session, Microsoft Teams users can switch between the original audio channel and the translator’s translation using the drop-down menu.
